We believe aspiration is something we cultivate within ourselves… inspiration is something we hope to ingest from outside ourselves. Our youth today struggle in silence while facing greater hurdles to academic success and healthy mental development. Many of the youth of Western New York lack basic comforts such as a bed and also lack personal space to focus and study for success at school. Everyday many underprivileged and ability-challenged children living in poverty, are forced to sleep on the floor while struggle for confidence, skill building opportunities, and healthy sources of inspiration.

Additionally, young people in our communities seek an alternative to concrete playgrounds and curb-side classrooms; they dream of a connection with nature and can gain lifelong skills through knowing the joys of Sport Fishing

That’s where The Bouie Foundation comes in. Starting in our hometown, and extending throughout Western New York, local volunteers come together dedicated to building, assembling and delivering hand-built loft-beds with dedicated study space beneath to children and families in need. Additionally we provide inner-city youth and young people who are ability-challenged the opportunity to learn first hand and experience directly the joy of Sport Fishing in our State Parks and Waterways.

Invest in a child’s future, by join us in creating sources of inspiration that impact the lives of young people of Orleans, Monroe, Onondaga counties of New York. We fully believe that a bed is a basic need for the proper physical, emotional, and mental support that a child needs. In Western New York there are thousands of children and youth in need. . These children end up sleeping on couches, blankets, and even floors. This can affect their happiness and health.

We believe young people today are clamoring for and eager to gain new new skills and new friendships. Being introduced to Sport Fishing we hope to instill both a lifelong love for Sport Fishing while also learning aspirational traits. Anglers with Aspiration aims to provide our youth with fishing techniques, problem-solving skills, new friendships and life-long inspiration.
